Derwent Charcoal XL Blocks 6 Tin

Set of 6 Derwent Charcoal XL Blocks. Versatile, water soluble compressed Charcoal blocks. They can also be broken up or grated into a powder for different textures, markings and detail.

The blocks have a soft texture that delivers smooth smudge effects for broad coverage and are designed to fit comfortably in your hand. Large scale drawings and broad strokes can be made with ease using the main body of the blocks, and the edges can be used to add fine lines and details. As they are water soluble, small amounts of water can be added to the charcoal allowing you to play around with the texture, to experiment with different effects and finishes.

Each block contains a high volume of formula, equal to 8 pencils. Each rectangular block measures 60 x 20 x 20mm each.

This set contains 6 Charcoal XL Blocks: Light, Medium, Black, Blue Black, Yellow Black and Ultra Black.
