Rough surface Canson Heritage Watercolour Blocks contain 20 sheets of 140lbs / 300gsm watercolour paper. Canson Heritage Watercolour Paper is a very strong and absorbent 100% cotton paper that has been highly recommended by watercolour artists.
This paper is surface sized and remains wetter for longer giving more working time with the paint before it dries. The paper surface can withhold a lot of re-working without getting damaged.
Acid free, this mould-made watercolour paper has a unique ‘handmade’ texture that holds the paint and water well without the accumulation of pigments in one place. The high quality size prevents brushstrokes from bleeding into the paper resulting in sharper edges. The rough surface of this paper really brings out the intensity of the watercolour paint.
Watercolour blocks are glued along all 4 edges which means that you don't have to stretch the paper prior to use and once you have finished your painting, you can just easily lift off the finished piece from the block with a scalpel.
Canson Heritage Watercolour Blocks also come in a Cold Pressed (NOT) surface and a Hot Pressed surface, watercolour pads or single sheets of watercolour paper.
