What sizes and colours are available in Staedtler Lumocolor Markers?

Both of the Permanent and Non-Permanent Staedtler Lumocolor Markers come in a superfine (S), fine (F), medium (M) and broad (B) nib. The superfine pen will give a line width of 0.4mm, the fine will produce a line width of 0.6mm and the medium will give a 1.0mm line. All of these sizes have a rounded bullet tip. The broad Lumocolor Pen has a chisel tip and depending on what angle it is used at, it will create between a 1.0mm and 2.5mm line.

Pullingers stock Staedtler Lumocolor Markers in four colours: Black, Blue, Red and Green.

What surfaces can I use Staedtler Lumocolor Markers on?

The Staedtler Lumocolor Permanent Markers are suitable for use on almost all surfaces, including photographs, glass, vinyl, wood, overhead transparencies, plastics, metal, CD’s and more. The ink is low odour, lightfast and waterproof, making them perfect for outdoor use as well as indoor use.

The Staedtler Lumocolor Non-Permanent Markers are ideal for using on printers' proofs, glass and OHP films. If you want to remove the ink afterwards, make sure that you only use these markers on a non absorbent surface.

Pullingers Verdict on Staedtler Lumocolor Markers.

These are high quality pens that have a long ink life and with Staedtler’s DRYSAFE technology, they can be left uncapped for days without drying out. Colours are bold and will not fade and they produce a precise smooth line. Lumocolor Markers are very quick drying which makes them ideal for left-handed artists.

Try using the Non-Permanent Lumocolor Markers with water to create interesting art techniques. The water-soluble ink will bleed to give striking effects and if using the black ink it changes to an array of indigo and violet colours.

On the whole, Staedtler Lumocolor Markers are really useful pens to have in your Art Supplies!
