Fineliner Pens are a fantastic way of creating sketches and drawings in ink. Ideal for graphics, cartoon work, illustration and much more, Fineliners are a must-have for any aspiring artist. With various nib sizes, different size lines and marks can be made, and different techniques achieved.
Finding a Fineliner that’s right for you depends on your own likes and styles. We would suggest trying a few different brands to get a feel for which ones are more suited to your drawing style.
We stock the following ranges of Fineliner Pens:
Copic Multiliner SP Fineliner Pens

With water-based ink, they are waterproof and lightfast, as well as being UV resistant and smudge proof. With a range of 10 different Copic SP Nib sizes and 12 colours of SP Pen Refill, the Copic Fineliner Pen is adaptable and the nibs can be changed easily. Even though the ink is water-based, Multiliner Pens can be used for watercolour and pen and wash work, and will not bleed. Pilot Fineliner Pens
Pilot Drawing Pens are a fast-drying, pigment based Fineliner Pens. With 5 nib sizes, these fineliners have a durable plastic nib, which makes them easy to use and long-lasting. Resistant to water when dry, the Pilot DR Drawing pen is a great choice for illustration and technical drawing, as well as pen and wash work.
Also made by Pilot, the G-Tech C4 range comes in 10 attractive colours, and has a 0.4mm tip which produces a 0.2mm line. These pens are ideal for anyone who wants to add some colour to writing or drawing, and are also great for scrapbooking and card-making.
Both the Pilot V5 Hi Tecpoint and the V7 Hi Tecpoint are liquid-ink based needlepoint Fineliner Pens which offer smooth and skip-free flow. Available in 4 colours, they both have an airtight cap and an ink flow regulator to control the amount of ink used in each stroke. The V5 comes with a 0.5mm tip which produces a 0.3mm line, whereas the V7 comes with a 0.7mm tip which produces a 0.4mm line. Perfect for writing as well as drawing, the Hi-Tecpoint pens are a great addition to any artist looking for some precision when using liquid ink.
