Each stretcher bar measures 18 x 54 mm (3/4 in x 2 1/16 in), and are available here in lengths ranging from 8 inch to 32 inch enabling you to accommodate a wide range of canvas sizes. Made from laminated pine, these bars are designed to minimise warping, ensuring your canvas remains taut and flat over time. These stretcher bars feature a 4mm lip that raises the canvas away from the bar, protecting your artwork from potential damage or discolouration. Additionally, each set of stretcher bars comes with canvas wedges. These small, triangular pieces of wood are inserted into the corners of the canvas frame to prevent sagging over time. They can be used to tighten a canvas that has loosened due to factors such as humidity changes, temperature fluctuations, or the weight of paint.
