Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle Watercolour Pencils are now available in 76 individual colours. NEW for 2013, they are exceptionally soft, artist quality watersoluble pencils that are contained in cedar wood.
The extra fine quality of Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle pencils makes them perfect for all types of watercolour painting techniques and artistic drawing. Museum Aquarelle pencils consist of brillant, vibrant colours that are highly pigmented and have exceptional lightfastness (standard blue wool scale).
They are 100% water-soluble and colours blend easily unlike other brands of watercolour pencils. Used dry, these pencils offer strong vibrant colours, used wet they give optimal transparency offering unlimited wet and dry drawing techniques.
Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle Pencils have a strong 3.8mm lead which can be sharpened to a fine point and the leads are contained in top quality cedar wood, preventing breakage and spliting. These watersoluble pencils are hexagonal shape with a matt finish (beautiful to hold) and have a matt coloured cap which matches the lead for easy colour identification.
