Amsterdam Acrylic Transparent Gesso dries completely colourless to give a more natural look to your base when priming a surface. This layer can then be painted on using acrylic paints, oils or gouache and provides good adhesion.
Transparent Gesso can be painted on a variety of dust-free surfaces such as linen and cotton canvas, wood, cardboard, paper and hardboard, as well as bricks and cement for murals. Acrylic paint can be added to the gesso to tint the colour if required, and it can be thinned with water. Amsterdam Acrylic Transparent Gesso becomes waterproof when dry and is ideal for when you want the effect of the raw surface to compliment your painting.
