The Winsor & Newton Professional Cotton Smooth Canvases have a fine grain surface that is ideal for artists who's work requires a level of intricate detail, such as Botanical Studies, Still Life and Portraiture.
The canvas has a weight of 280gsm and the depth of the frames are the traditional size of 0.82" / 21mm.
These high quality canvases are framed on to kiln-dried stretcher bars made of solid pine.
All Winsor And Newton Professional Canvases are primed using a coat of acid-free primer and two coats of Titanium Dioxide Gesso which is highly pigmented, giving a bright white finish. Each canvas is hand-stretched with stapled, uncut corners and has an acid free surface which has balanced tooth and absorbency.
These warp-resistant canvases also come with Winsor & Newton's NEW Pro-Stretchers, which offer an innovative new way to control the tension of a canvas to your specific requirements. These professional looking stretchers are easy to use and make achieving the perfect tension simple. An archiving label is included with every Professional canvas.
