These rough surface Canson Heritage Watercolour Pads contain 12 sheets of 140lbs / 300gsm watercolour paper. Acid free and 100% cotton, this mould-made paper has a unique ‘handmade’ texture that holds the paint and water well without the accumulation of pigments in one place.
Canson Heritage Watercolour Paper is surface sized and remains wetter for longer giving more working time with the paint before it dries. The high quality sizing ensures uniform washes and the paper surface can withhold a lot of re-working without getting damaged.
The rough surface of this paper really brings out the vibrancy of the watercolour paint and is perfect for more abstract pieces. Canson Heritage is a very strong and absorbent watercolour paper that has been highly recommended by watercolour artists as it holds the paint very well and brushstrokes don’t bleed into the paper resulting in sharper edges.
These Canson Heritage Watercolour Pads are glued along the short side. Also available in the Heritage range are hot pressed and cold pressed (NOT) pads, watercolour blocks and single sheets of Canson Heritage Watercolour Paper.
