Flat brushes for backgrounds, blends, flat washes and varnishing.
Round for decoration, details, outlines and final touches.
Liner brush for painting details.The thickness of the stroke can be varied by the pressure applied to the head.
Fan brush can be used wet or dry. When dry, it is useful topaint shaded tones. When wet this shape can be used to produce streaked effects, as in grass or trees.

Cleaning:
Water based paints - soapy water
Solvent based paints - white spirit, then with soapy water.
