Pebeo Studio BLACK Gesso 250ml Tube

Pebeo Studio Black Gesso is an Acrylic Gesso that gives a coloured ground while providing all the attributes of a traditional white acrylic gesso. Gesso should be used to prepare a surface before painting it. This particular Gesso is black in colour and comes in a 250ml tube. Some artists prefer to start work on a coloured background.

Pebeo Black Gesso dries quickly to a matt finish which can then be over-painted with Acrylic Paint or Oil Paint. It is an excellent surface preparation medium.

Pebeo Studio Gesso has a thick consistency and gives an opaque even coverage when applied to a clean non-greasy surface. It can be thinned with water. One coat is usually sufficient.
